"I switched to Greenfields just last week and Dr. Beyer saw my doxie for a well check and to look at a hot spot back by his tail. She spent a full half hour with me going over his health status (excellent for his age-almost 10), prescribed an allergy medication which stopped his itching within 24 hours and answered all of my questions completely and thoughtfully. I just now received a follow-up call from Dr. Beyer to see how he was responding to the medication. I never had that type of compassion and thoughtfulness from my previous vet. Thank you!"  Marianne M.

"We have been going to Greenfields Vet for years. They are wonderful in every way. We have had alot of our friends switch to them and are so glad they did. They go above and beyond caring for your pets and you when you are upset. They cannot do enough to comfort you when your pet/family member has a problem."  -Kathryn H.

"I recently lost my Rottweiler-mix to malignant melanoma. Had it not been for the quick diagnosis by Dr. Lafferty, her life would've been much shorter - I'm convinced of that. Dr. Beyer removed her toe using laser surgery. It was such a beautiful job that you couldn't tell the toe was removed. In spite of web research saying she'd only live 6-12 mos., she lived another 2 years due to the excellent care she received. When it did spread to her brain, she lost her battle. I have never been to a vet's office staffed with techs and vets with so much compassion. She didn't leave this world on a cold examining table. She laid on the floor on a thick, warm comforter with me on the floor next to her. Everyone (even the vet) had tears in their eyes as they'd all grown to love my gentle giant, Molly. Dr. Lafferty made her passing so painless and comfortable for her. I can't thank them enough. They not only take care of the pet, but they take care of the "pet parent" as well. I now take my new pet, a pit bull, to them and will continue to do so. I HIGHLY recommend this practice."     Peggy S.

"We've been coming here with our cats since 1998 and are so thankful we found you all those years ago. Wonderful doctors and staff that really care about their patients."     Danielle W.

  • Nina Beyer, VMD

Nina decided at age 12 that she would be a veterinarian; she had always been ''animal-crazy,'' according to her family, and she had an interest in health care she learned from her mother, a nursing educator. After graduating from Penn State, she attended veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania, attaining her VMD degree in 1987. After a year in northern New Jersey, she joined Greenfields Veterinary Associates, where she became a partner in 1999. Nina became involved in greyhound rescue in 1992; over the next several years, she spayed/neutered and cleaned teeth for hundreds of greyhounds on their way to new homes. In 1994, she was finally able to get her own greyhound, a wonderful dog named Zoe. She has also been involved in Italian greyhound rescue (this toy breed has become popular in pet stores, which means puppy mills); all of her I Gs are rescue dogs. She recently rediscovered horseback riding and enjoys training with her horse.

  • Kirsten Burg, DVM

Dr. Burg is originally from right here in Gloucester County.  She has always had a love of science and medicine.  She earned dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Marine Science and Biology from Coastal Carolina University.  During her undergraduate years, her mom mentioned that she could meld her deep love for all animals and biology into a single pursuit of veterinary medicine.  After taking a position as a technician at a busy small animal and exotics practice, Dr. Burg fell in love with veterinary medicine and proved that your mom is always right!  She switched career paths and earned her DVM degree from the University of Florida.  Dr. Burg’s main veterinary interests include dentistry, oncology, and client communication and education.  She particularly enjoys her geriatric patients and their extraordinary and historic bond with their families.

In her free time, Dr. Burg enjoys spending time with her husband and son.  They share their home with Mally, a rescued Pit Bull Terrier and Stitch, the Bearded Dragon.  She is also an avid reader, baseball fan and beach bum.
